Our History
In 1998, a Norwegian family moved to Constanta to follow their passion for sharing the Gospel with Romanians. Two years later, along with several other like-minded Christians, they started to build a community in the city for Youth With A Mission volunteers. Through the years, ministries (such as working in poor communities, working with children and youth, and running a cafe for students) have been pioneered and continue to grow and impact our city for Jesus, reaching out to the people here.
Today at YWAM Constanta
At YWAM Constanta you will find people from many nations. With this mix of culture and our different personalities, our community has become a colorful place! We meet regularly for prayer and intercession, worship, teaching and fellowship, growing the in the knowledge of God together and seeing His purposes for our lives and our city.
Not only do we enjoy working together but we also enjoy relaxing together. We often meet for birthdays, holidays and other social events. For many, our YWAM team is a second family, especially for staff who are far from home. Not only are relationships of the highest importance in the Kingdom of God but also here in Romania one finds that relationships are key to getting anywhere.
